Sonal Dabral, Bates 141 Regional Executive Creative Director and India Chairman, and Richard Yu, Taiwan ECD, were both presented with special achievement awards by The New York Festivals International Advertising Awards Show in Shanghai.
Sonal and Richard were among a select group of 25 of the region’s most talented, famous and respected creative leaders, to be chosen for this award. This is the first time an international awards show has recognized individuals (as opposed to the agency) for their contributions to the local and international advertising industry, and for advancing the region’s creative standards. According to the organizers, the list is very selective and was done in consultation with Neil French. At the same event, Neil French was also presented with the NYF Lifetime Achievement Award.
Richard was also present at the event to receive the five Finalist awards, for Bates 141 Taiwan's "Smoker's Helpline" and Maobao Dishwashing Liquid "Bloom Series" campaigns.
